this was my first ever turntable set up. Gemini set, that I bought from a some kid in my high school, sucked so much. That mixer said “Scratch Master” on it but the fader was way too stiff to scratch. Mixer barely had any eqs, fader had no curve control, torn arms were unstable, and torq was shitty but despite all, this set up got me interested in djing. Notice the detail on Saturday Night Fever and Sasame Street Fever LPs.

Then upgraded my mixer to some 3 channel Vestax mixer. It was my first purchase on ebay.

I was planning to upgrade to Technics tables. These were one of the best purchase I ever made in my life. This was my college freshmen year desk. Once again, studying was not my priority…

My dear roommate, Chris, felt bad that I had to study on the floor, that he made this table for me! I heard this table became a beer pong table after I left for army.

This was my sophomore year set up. Purchased custom turntable coffin and cdj 800.

and after. It had so much fun making the dj booth according to my need. Once I had all 4 turntables connected…but I actually didn’t really know what to do with them…

Since I couldn’t buy any vinyls in Korea, I purchased another cdj 800. This Allen & Heath mixer was Soulscape’s toy that I borrowed from. It was one of the smoothest mixer I’ve ever used. I wish I never had to give it back to him.

Then I went back to Boston. I brought two cdjs with me (hand carried…), bought djm 800 and started using Traktor. Thus, the new era had begun.

This was a prank done by my roommates. Probably it was the best usage of my tables…
