DOTB

a long over due photos from “Dancing on the Block” party. great music, nice peeps, pbr beers, and nice weather, Boston has them all.

Boston’s very own, Tanner Ross on the deck.

The G-Things crew’s back to back session kept the crowd nice and easy.

an outdoor party could break the wall of snobby club environment and invites everyone to dance. such an Utopian concept party but it works beautifully. Well actually, you had to be 21+ to dance…

My friend Ho Yoon was visiting Boston and got dragged by me to come to DOTB party. Come visit again bro!

Here and There

Boston’s a must have, Mr. Barley’s burgers at Harvard Sq.

their famous onion rings are made to order. yum yum yum.

Since I went their for a brunch, I got a breakfast…sort of. I’m so hungry posting this.

Futura’s 360 pointman piece at cncpts store. I wouldn’t mind bring this home…

always impressive James Hook’s lobster roll. soooooo chunky!

a beautiful day at ICA.

ICA usually have the arts that are kind of out there…but it’s a cool building to visit.

my cousins. The taller you are, the older you are…

turns out, ICA’s water bar has amazing food!!! yum yum yum.

then I arrived to NYC just in time for the sunset.

do you think you’ve been to weird parties? well think again, this party I went was happening at the 2nd floor of new york china town dim sum restaurant. The name of 88 Palace. WTF right? I couldn’t believe it in the beginning but it was for real.

DJ Ayres and his crew runs the night at this place. So ghetto but strangely very fitting. the people who are crazy enough to come to dance at dim sum restaurants are turns out to be the hardcore clubbers, not one of those let’s get drunk people. So it made sense to have a party here…except it smelled like dim sum the whole time!!!

two turntables, two cdjs, traktor, and serato…like every equipment possible?

and the Martin Brothers!!! First time seeing two brothers together. I just never knew I would see them at a dim sum restaurant.

Christian and Justin, they were having so much fun together playing back to back. I kind of wish my brother would start djing. brother are you reading this?

of course clay the guetta was with me and oleg the Russian prince was also in town. we all couldn’t believe we were partying at a dim sum joint.

Chinatown rave with the martin bros!!! it was definitely worth it.

this Cuban sandwich from Cafe Havana saved my life from a massive hang over from the Martin Brothers. The taste was mind blowing! now I’m drooling.

Family reunion-ing with my cousin/recovering.

This kidrobot display is all I want…and all I need…

The high line park in Summer is a must place to visit in NYC! so pretty up there.

then I came back Boston to catch the fireworks. I really was all over the place this weekend. now I’m tired. Happy 4th.

Justin Martin Vs. Heidi

Boston’s one and only underground electronic scene, Mid-week Techno invited two of heavy world class djs, Justin and Heidi, to play at 100 person venue…how awesome is this?

Heidi and Justin tag teaming. They each played 2 tracks back and forth for 3 hours.

Justin noticed me from the crowd and posed for me.

Heidi and Justin were both dropping non-stop killer tracks that the crowd was going nuts.

Justin totally remembered me from Korea 3 years ago. He couldn’t believe we met up again on the other side of the world. He was amused that I was wearing the official dirtybird t-shirt. He told me to come to his NY gig on Sunday but…we will see…should I???

Clay also had a gig at splash lounge that night so I made my way to South Station area. Xponent over cdjs…nice set up dude!

and I found this photo from Famous Wednesday facebook page, with Jairo the Jakie Chan and Clay the David Guetta. Famous Wednesday indeed.

TTLS

Last week, I was back in Korea for a week and had a chance to visit Turntablelab Seoul store. It’s located in Hongik University area, where all the Korean clubs are located. When I first saw TTLS logo on the building…I just couldn’t believe it was actually happening.

They carry records, equipments, art books, magazines and clothing same as turntablelab NYC store…I’m so happy for Seoul.

Some equipments they carry and more to come.

at the end, they hook me up with this custom iPhone case they made for TTLS. Who knew Seoul would be part of Turntablelab flagship stores? This is so surreal and awesome. Check out their online store for Korea.
